Frequently asked

What are the true baby registry essentials?

The non-negotiables: a safe sleep space (crib/bassinet with a firm flat mattress), an infant car seat (required to leave the hospital), feeding supplies, diapers and wipes, basic clothing, and a few bath/health items. Almost everything else is optional or can wait.

What should I NOT put on my registry?

Skip or delay: too many newborn-size clothes (babies grow fast), wipe warmers, shoes, bulky "systems" you won’t use, and gadgets that solve problems you don’t have yet. Add things as you discover the need — you can edit your registry any time.

How many of each item should I register for?

Rough starting points: 8–10 onesies and sleepers, 4–6 bottles, a couple of swaddles/sleep sacks, plenty of newborn + size 1 diapers and wipes, and 2–4 hooded towels. Register a range and adjust after your shower.
