Editorial & medical review policy

How we create, fact-check, and update everything you read here — and why you can trust it.

Our promise

Every page on Robin Cove exists to help you make a confident, safe decision for your family. We write in plain language, cite our sources, and never let commercial relationships influence our recommendations.

How we create content

Articles and guides are written by experienced parenting writers, then structured around what real parents search for and ask. We lead with the direct answer, then add the depth and nuance behind it.

Medical & expert review

Health, safety, and product-safety content is reviewed by relevant experts — CPST-certified car-seat technicians for gear safety, and our medical advisory board for pregnancy, baby, and health topics. Reviewer names and credentials are shown on the page.

Our sources

We cross-check guidance against authoritative organizations: the AAP, ACOG, CDC, WHO, FDA, NHTSA, and CPSC, plus peer-reviewed research. Outbound links to these sources appear at the bottom of relevant pages.

How we test products

Products are scored across six axes — safety, ease of use, value, durability, comfort, and features — with safety weighted heaviest. Picks come from a tracked pool per category; recalls and certification changes trigger a rescore within 24 hours.

Independence & disclosure

We earn affiliate commissions when you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you. Brands cannot pay for a ranking or a better score. Where we have a commercial relationship, we disclose it clearly.

Keeping content current

Pages carry a "last reviewed" date. We revisit time-sensitive content (safety, rankings, prices) regularly and update it when guidance, recalls, or the market change.

Corrections

Spotted an error? Tell us and we'll fix it fast. Accuracy matters more than ego — especially on topics that affect your baby's safety.
